Lady Owls, Eagles net rivalry victories

It was more of the same from Jacksboro and LaFollette, which hooked up Thursday night for a rematch of their annual middle school basketball rivalry.

The Lady Owls defeated the Lady Eagles, 35-28, to complete a season sweep of their rivals. Rachel Harris came up big for LaFollette with 17 points. Niki Ward also scored in double figures with 11 points. Both had six rebounds.

Chelsea King made seven steals for LaFollette.

“Rachel had the best game of her middle school career,” said Lady Owls’ coach Marsha Morton.
