Editor,
LaFollette Press:
Hey coupon clippers we are being clipped ourselves.
Not many coupon clippers know you can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon at the same time.
They tell you your not supposed to, but if they’re honest you can.
Last Sunday I went and traded a sizeable sum at a local store. The cashier was peeved when I told her I could use store and manufacturers coupons. Then I had a register rewards coupon, for so much money off my order and when I got home I noticed it and called, the manager said it had been taken off. It did not reflect on my receipt.
It’s bad enough that prices are ridiculous, but when we have to fight to use our only option of savings it’s just about the last straw and not one store around here doubles coupons.
If it keeps on going this way then maybe we coupon clippers should ban together and shop in Kentucky where most stores do double coupons. We have enough to deal with without having to fight for something we know we can do, but are not allowed to do.
My coupons are money in my pocket and if my local stores don’t like it. I’ll be happy to shop out of town.
Sincerely,
Treva Byrge
