LaFollette Press:

Thank you for your continued support of the Campbell County Imagination Library, an affiliate with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Campbell County Imagination Library currently serves 1,100 children from birth to 5 years old with a new book each month delivered by mail.

Enrollment forms are available at each public library or a parent may enroll a child on-line at http://www.dollysimaginationlibrary.com/home.php.

Local donations and grants make it possible to provide the books to the children.  In the past year donations have been received from Delta Kappa Gamma/Beta Phi Chapter, Extraordinary Teens at Campbell County High School, LaFollette United Methodist Church, Campbell County Mayor William Baird, Commissioner Johnny Bruce, and CHET Jeans Friday Contributions. In addition the Campbell County Imagination Library is supported by a grant from the East Tennessee Foundation. Each month the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation with funds from a state budgetary allocation matches fifty percent of the Campbell County cost of books.  During 2010 Campbell County received additional funding from an Appalachian Regional Commission grant.

Parents are encouraged to read to your child each day.  Community Health of East Tennessee provides the local management of the program as a community service to Campbell County.

The average cost per child is $24 annually.  Donations are tax deductible and may be mailed to CHET, P. O. Box 209, Jacksboro, TN  37757.  If you have questions, please call 563-1040.
