HARROGATE—Lincoln Memorial University alumni are seeking donations are being sought to benefit the production of the Nancy Rogers Leach Pavilion on the campus. The 5,000-square foot pavilion is expected to be placed at Democrat Hollow at a projected cost of $250,000. A bronze photo plaque of Leach will be affixed outside the pavilion. Leach, of Speedwell, was named 2010 LMU Volunteer of the Year and was active in the LMU Alumni Association.
Dorothy Brooks, an alumni and relative of Leach, said she and the alumni board need help.
“This is a project that Nancy had her heart and hands in,” she said. “She taught for 20 years and worked very, very hard until her last moments. She just didn’t get to live long enough to see it through, but she sure did try. We have to have lots of help.”
