LPD arrests Ballard on multiple charges

A smashed windshield spelled big trouble for a local man and a major headache for LaFollette Police Officers.

On Friday Officer Stephen Wallen noticed a vehicle with a “severely damaged” windshield traveling south on South 4th Street.

When Wallen asked the driver Jesse James Ballard, 24, of 1165 Sugar Hollow Road, for his driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration he could not produce them.

Ballard gave Wallen a false name, but a check of the information given by Ballard allegedly came back as “not on file.”
