LPD discovers a rash of meth labs last week

Meth lab discoveries kept the LaFollette Police Department busy during 2008. With a rash of four labs cropping up in the last week, it seems that 2009 is likely to bring more of the same.

Last Wednesday Officer William Owens observed a car in the area of South Tennessee and Elm Streets in violation of the window tint law.

During the traffic stop Owens discovered the license tag on the car, which was driven by David Wayne Williams, 39, of 1681 Back Valley Road, was registered to another vehicle.
