LaFOLLETTE—Police arrested a 24-year-old man outside Community Trust Bank after allegedly confiscating weapons and prescription pills.
LaFollette policeman Noah Riggs was dispatched to investigate suspicious activity at the bank Jan. 29 after two men were reportedly spotted in the parking lot, according to reports from the LaFollette police department.
According to reports, one man sported a 6-inch hunting knife while sifting through a bag in the backseat of a black 2000 Chevy Blazer. After confronting them, Riggs found one of the men, Joseph Christian Fox, 891 High Knob Road, allegedly had two warrants. Riggs detained Fox when he reportedly found brass knuckles in Fox’s bag.
Riggs then conducted a pat-down and reportedly recovered half of a Suboxone strip in Fox’s wallet, for which there was no prescription.
Riggs transported Fox to the Campbell County jail for booking. The Suboxone was reportedly sent to a crime lab for identification. Fox is charged with possessing a schedule-III substance and two counts of prohibited weapons.
