He may be new in town, but fight promoter Charles Headley isn’t new to the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA.)

With 10 years experience as a promoter and 20 years in MMA, Headley is bringing the fast growing sport to Campbell County.

Headley plans to hold the first fight of the year on March 28 in the National Guard Armory located at 301 Industrial Parkway in Jacksboro.

The main event is a title fight between the bad girls of MMA, Heather “the Main Event” Martin and Danielle “Big Guns” Kimery. According to Headley, the competition is for the 170-pound female open title. There will be 20 fights total held at the armory on March 28th.

With competitors fighting in a 20 by 20 octagon cage, it’s truly a no holds bar event, according to Headley.

The gates open at 5 p.m., with the first fight beginning at 6p.m.

Tickets cost $20 and are available at the gate or by calling 784-7032. For more information visit www.badboypromotionsllc.com.
