The real you, up close and personal
In reading Psalm 139 we realize that David the Psalmist recognized the omniscience of God, “O Lord, you have searched me and known me” (Psalm 139:1). God knew his every action before he thought it. David could not begin a sentence for which God did not already know the end. “For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, you know it altogether” (Psalm 139:4). Because God is omniscient, the “real” David could not hide from God (verses 17,18).
