The money is used to help cover the cost of utilities at the location as well as to assist with other programs in the agency. Donations of summer clothing and summer shoes are needed. The second annual Beans and Bluegrass fundraiser benefit for the Heiskell Community Center will be held July 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Raccoon Valley Festival Grounds. Jacksboro Public Library has just received a gift of 100 new children's books, ranging from pre-kindergarten through early readers. These books were a donation from Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in New York City, interested in fostering early reading, a love of books and encouraging parents and children to read together. All ground flowers at the Cumberland View Cemetery must be moved by July 18 due to extra mowing expenses.
