H.O.M.E. (Homeschoolers on Mission Every Day) Clear Creek Co-op will meet Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Clear Creek Library to plan the home school co-op classes for the year. For more information call (276)445-5341, (423)562-1818 or (606)499-4895.   The Campbell County Artist Association will have its regular monthly meeting on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at the West LaFollette Recreation Center in the Chanoitt and Carroll Studio Terry Chanoitt will be teaching a white chalk on black background still life. Refreshments will be served. For more information or directions please call Karen Cumorich at 562-8468.   A watercolor class will be held at the Chanoitt and Carroll Studio of Art, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. This class will cover all the basics of Watercolor and is perfect for beginners. For more details, call Terry Chanoitt at (423)907-2282.   The Mayfield Cow will be at the Sugar Shack in Jacksboro this weekend. There will be give a-ways for school use, such as rulers, pens and pencils. Hours are from 1 to 9 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday.   Jellico will host its second “XRRA” Rockracing event on Aug. 15 at the White Oak OHV course. This is the eastern division pro finals. Gates open at 8:30 and the first race begins at 10 a.m. Admission is $10 for adults, kids eight and under are free.   Cove Lake Hiking Club will meet at 9 a.m. on Aug. 15 at Food Lion for a hike in the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The hike is four to five miles, rated moderate. Bring snack and plenty of water. New vendors are welcome.   A Bariatric (Weight Loss Surgery) Support Group will be held Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. For more information call 566-2298 after 5 p.m.   The Campbell County Shrine Club will meet Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. All Master Masons are invited.   The Friends of Norris Lake will meet on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at the LaFollette Community Center to discuss lake issues.   The Campbell County Historical Society will meet Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Historic Wedding Chapel. Guest speaker will be Roy Price who will talk about the Legend of the Swift Silver Mine.   H.O.M.E. (Homeschoolers on Mission Every Day) Clear Creek Co-op will host a Back-to-School Bash on Aug. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.  Bring one to two potluck dishes. The group will meet on the second floor of the Family Life Center at Clear Creek Bible College Campus.  Have students bring their swimsuits for the indoor swimming pool and socks if they want to roller skate. Chickens will be sold at public auction around 10:30 following the show.   Jellico will host its 4th annual Tractor and Engine Show on Aug. 22 in the grass parking at the stage in downtown Veteran’s Park. The show will begin at 9 a.m. There are no contests or awards. There will be a concession area.   Campbell County Shrine Club will have its summer picnic Aug. 24 at the home of Helen and Elwood Nicely in Powell Valley Shores. Dinner at 6 p.m., fellowship following.   The U.S. Coast Guard Norris Lake Flotilla will meet Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at the Willows at Twin Cove Marina for patrol training.   H.O.M.E. Al- Anon for the families of the alcoholic meets Tuesdays at 8 p.m. The meetings will take place at 2119 Jacksboro Pike, LaFollette in the Campbell County Unity Association building. Celebrate Recovery healing hurts, hang-ups and habits meets Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. for a light meal and 7 p.m. meeting.
