The Humane Society of Campbell County will hold its monthly meeting Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at the LaFollette Recreation Center.   Diabetic support group meeting will be held Aug. 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s of Campbell County in the executive conference room. A light lunch will be served.   Jacksboro United Methodist Church will host a blood drive in the gymnasium on Aug. 20 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. All blood types are needed.   First of Campbell County National Bank will host the Chamber Breakfast on Aug. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 2408 Jacksboro Pike, LaFollette.   Community Health of East Tennessee Clothes Closet will be open Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CHET will be charging a small fee for clothing and items in the clothes closet. Donations of boys and girls clothing are needed.   Homeschoolers on Mission Every Day Clear Creek Co-op will host a Back-to-School Bash on Aug. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.  Bring one to two potluck dishes. The group will meet on the second floor of the Family Life Center at Clear Creek Bible College Campus.  Have students bring their swimsuits for the indoor swimming pool and socks if they want to roller skate. Chickens will be sold at public auction around 10:30 following the show. This will be a great opportunity to purchase some prize winning egg layers for home flocks.   Jellico will host its 4th annual Tractor and Engine Show on Aug. 22 in the grass parking at the stage in downtown Veteran’s Park. The show will begin at 9 a.m. There are no contests or awards. There will be a concession area.   Campbell County Shrine Club will have its summer picnic Aug. 24 at the home of Helen and Elwood Nicely in Powell Valley Shores. For directions call 562-0394 or follow road signs. Meat furnished, bring a covered dish. Dinner at 6 p.m., fellowship following.   The Lions Club of Campbell County will meet Aug. 24, 6-6:30 p.m. bring your supper, 6:30-7:30 p.m. business at the First Presbyterian Church, meeting room behind the church.  Contact Lion Carol McDonald at 563-0057 for more information.   Community Health of East Tennessee will offer a Parenting of Young Children Class beginning Aug. 25 for six weekly two-hour sessions. Classes are from 10 a.m. to noon at the CHET Administration Building at 507 Main Street Jacksboro. Registration is at the first class. The cost is $65. Call Nelsie at 563-1040 or 562-1156 for more details.   The U.S. Coast Guard Norris Lake Flotilla will meet Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at the Willows at Twin Cove Marina for patrol training.   Zach Wamp will be bringing his “20/20 Vision Tour” for Tennessee’s future to Campbell County as he continues traveling across the state, listening to and learning about the priorities and concerns of Tennesseans in his campaign for governor.  Wamp will be having a complimentary breakfast at The Diner on Aug. 25 at 8 a.m.    Homeschoolers on Mission Every Day Clear Creek Co-op will begin classes Sept. 4, 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on the Clear Creek College campus.

The class begins at 5 p.m. Individuals must complete eight hours of substitute training to become certified to substitute in the Campbell County Schools.
