The regular meeting of the Caryville Municipal Planning Commission will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the Caryville City Hall.   Community Health of East Tennessee Black Lung Clinic of LaFollette will host an outreach program beginning at 10 a.m. on Feb. 6 in the conference room at the Morgan County Courthouse, 415 S. Kingston Street in Wartburg. Information will be furnished and questions will be answered concerning Federal Black Lunch Benefits. For more information call 494-7502 or 562-7800.   The Campbell County Artist Association will have its regular monthly meeting on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m at the West LaFollette School just past the LaFollette Recreation Center. Enter through the front of the school, second entrance, and first room on left. Watch next week’s paper for details on what the group will be working on. Refreshments will be served. For more information or directions please call Karen Cumorich at 562-8468.     The Senior Citizens Center will have a Valentine Party on Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. with live music by The Ole Spice Band. The cover charge is $3 per person. Prizes will be awarded to two costume winners. The snack bar will be serving spaghetti with salad and garlic bread for $4.   On Feb. 14 beginning at 10 a.m., the Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited and friends will be picking up litter along Norris Freeway from the West Norris Road entrance to the City of Norris to the weir dam; and along River Road from Massengil Bridge to Norris Freeway. The public is invited and welcome.  Volunteers should meet at the Island Home Church on Norris Freeway at 10 a.m. Plastic trash bags and orange hi-viz vests will be provided. It usually takes about two hours to complete the cleanup.   The Health Council will meet at noon on Feb. 18 at Jellico Community Hospital in the Executive Conference Room beside the cafeteria.     Relay for Life team captains meeting will be held Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Jacksboro Middle School.   A beginner’s quilting class will be held at the Chaniott and Carroll Studio of Art on Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This class will make a quilt block using the traditional hand-pieced method. New Beginning Church will host weekly GriefShare meetings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through March 31. This class is open to all artists who want to improve their drawing skills as well as beginner level. For more information call Terri Chaniott at (423)907-2282.   Caryville Public Library is having a book sale.  Hardbacks are $2, and paperbacks are $1.  They have a wide range of authors, including Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Mary Higgins Clark, Danielle Steel, John Sandford, just to name a few.  Come take advantage of this great deal.  All profits will benefit the Caryville Public Library.   Anyone needing forms for filing income tax for 2008, an ample supply is available at the LaFollette Public Library. These are for filing purposes only. We have no employer forms such as 1099's, etc. The library does not provide assistance for filing taxes and we cannot answer tax questions, but we are happy to provide forms for you.   AARP Tax Aide counselors Charles Gladwell, Pearl Randall, Dan Panzaru and David Green will be available to do tax returns at the LaFollette Public Library. They will do taxes returns every Thursday morning starting Feb. 5 at 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, continuing through April 15. Reservations can be made by calling Nancy Green at the LaFollette Public Library, phone number 562-5154.   Safe Haven Center offers advocacy, forensic nursing, therapy and education to all people without prejudice that are victims of sexual assault. The services are free and confidential to the persons in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Knox, Loudon, Roane and Sevier.
