CAMPBELL COUNTY—Last week’s arrest round-up, dubbed Operation Crushing Nuisance by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department, brought in about half of the 40 suspects, and the number of those apprehended has not changed since.

“Twenty is still the last count, with no new people turning themselves in or being captured,” said Chief Deputy Aaron Evans. “Most were in custody in other jails or being medically admitted at hospitals.”

Most of those arrested as part of the round-up were brought in on drug-related charges.

Of the 20 suspects arrested during the round up nine are still in custody, Evans said. Those still in custody have court hearings set for Monday.
