Stella Mae Bullock,93, died May 17.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amanda Wilson Phillips; husband, Joe Bullock; her infant son, Benny Joe Bullock.

She is survived by daughter, Connie Carter.

Funeral services were held May 20. Interment was in Woodhaven Cemetery. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rachel Sue Bumgardner

Rachel Sue Bumgardner,67, died May 16.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Carrie Worthington Freeman.

She is survived by husband, Arvil Bumgardner; sons, Robert Lee Bumgardner and James Arvil Bumgardner; daughter, Tammy Sue Bumgardner Clark.

Funeral services were held May 19. Interment was in Leach Cemetery. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Annette Gibson
Annette Gibson, 98, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Jellico, died May 19. Family and loved ones were by her side when she passed away. Annette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Knox County, Ky., and was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly for 80 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Luther Gibson; daughter, Joyce; son, Clayton; and grandsons, Dennis and Zane.

She is survived by her children, Harold Gibson and wife, Barbara, of Knoxville, Merle Gibson and wife, Betty, of Mich., Lorene Stephens of Pine Knot, Ky., Agatha Castillo and husband, Roger, of Ohio, Thelma Thompson and husband, Malcolm, of Sidney, Ohio; and Sue Parker of Sidney, Ohio; along with several other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held May 24 with the Rev. Ray Landes officiating. Interment will be in Candle Ridge Cemetery, Gray, Ky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of God Mountain Assembly Missions Dept., Jellico.

Opal A. Noojin Nelson Johnson, 89, died May 13.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Flora Epps Noojin; her husbands, Arthur T. Nelson and Robert L. Johnson; her sons, Jim R. Nelson and Roger T. Nelson.

She is survived by daughters, Nola Nelson McKamey and Gail Nelson Brown.

Funeral services were held May 18.
