 Autumn Marie Baird

Autumn Marie Baird, one, of Frakes, Ky., died May 22, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital, Middlesboro, Ky. She was born May 15, 2011, in Jellico.

Autumn was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael Osborne.

She is survived by parents, Dean Jr. and Tara Baird; brother, Dean Gabriel Baird; grandparents, Sheila Osborne, Tommy Hurst, Angela Sanchez and Dean Baird Sr.; great- grandparents, Judy Hatfield, Bill Hatfield; uncles, Dane Baird, Domingo Sanchez, Joshua Michael Osborne and Joseph Scott Osborne; aunts, Jody Osborne and Brooke Baird; great- uncles, William Hatfield and Steve Hatfield; along with a host of friends and family to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held May 25, with the Rev. Kenneth Osborne officiating. Interment was in Bowman Cemetery.

Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.

Jeanette Perkins Baird
Jeanette Perkins Baird, 96, of Middleburg, Fla., formerly of Little Elk, died May 25, at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Fla. In 1910, her father was one of the founding members of Little Elk United Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Eastern Star, in Jellico. She was an avid sewer and quilt maker. Her last sewing project was making lap blankets for cancer patients.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Trave Baird also by her father and mother James Monroe Perkins and Rose Allen Perkins.

She is survived by daughters, Shirley Ruth Marsh and husband Ferguson, of Middleburg, Fla., and Rosalie Buchanan of Ferndale, Mich.; two sons, Homer Russell Baird and wife Helen, of Dallas, Ga., Ohlen Travis Baird and wife Beverly, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; eight granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters; seven great- grandsons; one great-great-grandson; sister, Elsie Meredith of Clinton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held May 30 at Cox and Son Chapel with the Rev. Steve Morgan and Rev. David Morgan officiating. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery, Elk Valley.

Rev. Troy Christopher, 83, died May 25.

He is survived by wife, LaFrona Brown Christopher; son, Paul Christopher.

Funeral services were held May 28. Interment was in Grantsboro Cemetery.

Robert Bob Ensley

Robert Bob Ensley, 82, of Jacksboro died May 24.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by son, Chuck Ensley; parents, Hobert and Ada Hill Ensley; brother, Kenneth Ensley; sister, Betty Jo Hill.

He is survived by wife, Joan Ensley; daughter, Lena Nelson and husband David; grandson, Chris Nelson and wife Jennifer; great- grandchildren, Caleb and Emily; sister, Eloise Robinson.

Funeral services and interment were held May 27 at Campbell Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating.

Audrey Teresa “Tweet” Evans

Audrey Teresa “Tweet” Evans, 50, of Jacksboro died, May 22. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by mother, Mary Evans; brother, Terry Evans. She is survived by lifetime partner, Ken Woodby; father, Audrey Evans and stepmother Linda; brother, Timothy Evans and wife Tammy; sisters, Vanessa Irwin and husband Scott, and Pamela Smith; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held May 24 at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Stanley and the Rev. Charles Sparks officiating.

Interment was in Evans Cemetery.

Angela Dawn Stittums Kennedy, 33, of LaFollette died May 24. She was a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by mother, Ann “Cookie” Powell Parsons.

She is survived by husband, Lonnie A. Kennedy; son, Kole Anthony Kennedy; father, David Stittums, of Smyrna; brother, Shayne Stittums and wife Julie, of Harlan, Ky.; stepfather, Jim Parsons; mother in law and father in law, Lonnie and Kay Kennedy; nieces and nephews, Shelby Maiden, Kaitlyn Stittums, and Braxton Stittums; special friends, Cara Beth Nidiffer and Casey Joyce.

Funeral services were held May 28 at Cross Smith Chapel with

the the Rev. Lonnie Kennedy and the Ronnie Arnold officiating. Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Ozias “Zie” Muse, 100, died May 22.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith C. Phillips, infant son Leamon,. Charlie is survived by wife, Frances Phillips; children, Avery Phillips, Gladys Bunch, Van Phillips, Roy Phillips, the Rev. Lee Phillips, Bayless Phillips, Ruby Phillips.

Retha Smith

Retha Smith, 60, of Jellico, Ky., Williamsburg, died May 25. She was born March 23, 1952, in Jellico.

She is survived by sons, Billy Ray Wood and wife Margie, of McMinnville, Tommy Ray Wood and wife Mary, of Jellico; daughter, Shawnya Smith, of Jellico; 12 grandchildren and two great -grandchildren; five sisters; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held May 27 with the Rev. Earl Powers Officiating. Retha's wishes were to be cremated.
