Pioneer man charged in Jellico and Campbell County

A robbery at a Jellico store led allegedly Jellico police to arrest Michael Allen Schmidt, 28, of Pioneer, who was wanted for more charges by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department.

According to Jellico Police Chief Chris Anderson, the suspect had been staying with an employee of the store.

Schmidt went into the store to buy a soda and when the register was opened he grabbed some $20 bills from the drawer, said Anderson.
