Anticipating the birth of a child is a joyful time full of hopes and plans for expectant parents. But for those faced with an unexpected pregnancy, the excited glow of impending motherhood is often replaced by despair and uncertainty.

With the number of “crisis” pregnancies ever increasing, Sandy Davidson, pregnancy services program director for Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, says the need to provide women with support, information, options and hope during what is likely a very stressful time is imperative.
