LaFOLLETTE—A LaFollette man was jailed Friday after he allegedly purchased drugs at a South 8th Street home, while his newborn son waited in the vehicle.
Officer Susan Sowder of the LaFollette Police Department arrived on the scene, where reports indicate Justin Wallace Huff, 25, 109 N. Cumberland Ave., LaFollette, was buying marijuana and a synthetic-type of the substance.
Sowder reportedly observed Huff leave the residence before stopping him, according to LaFollette arrest records.
Huff’s driver’s license was allegedly expired as of last June, reports indicated. Sowder allegedly confiscated a green, leafy substance in a plastic bag concealed in his pants pocket.
She also allegedly retrieved a pack of rolling papers and a partial cigarette with a similar substance believed to be synthetic marijuana, according to reports. Huff allegedly stated the marijuana was for medical purposes.
Huff faces charges of possessing a schedule-VI substance, synthetic drugs and paraphernalia.
