UP THE VALLEY—Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a robbery at Big O’s Git and Go on General Carl W. Stiner Highway in LaFollette.

Police were contacted after a man in dark clothes with a dark blue bandana over his face entered the store approximately 10 p.m. on Jan. 2 and brandished a handgun.

“Open that register. Don’t do nothing crazy. Don’t want to hurt nobody. I’m feeding my family,” he told the clerk according to surveillance video released last week.

After taking most of the cash in the drawer, he left the premises on foot and headed toward the Robert Clear Coal Company.

Investigators believe he was then picked up by an early 2000s model White Ford Explorer. The vehicle reportedly fled westbound on Tenn. 63.

Anyone with any information regarding the robbery is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 423-562-7446.
