Campbell County High School shortstop Blake Potter announced on Tuesday his decision to continue his baseball career as a student at the University of the Cumberlands.
Potter, an honorable mention all-district candidate last spring, plans to pursue a degree in engineering.
He excelled on the field, despite playing for four different head coaches throughout his high school career.
Potter’s best season was in 2008, when he hit .447 and was named first-team All-District 3-AAA.
“We’re going to miss having him in the lineup every day,” said CCHS coach Brad Collette.
“He’s been a four-year starter that will be tough to replace.”
