Apparently Wesley Leo Powers found himself in the mood to do some redecorating in November. But he chose to steal the items instead of buying them, police said. On Jan. 8 Detective Sergeant Mike Perkins found Powers in possession of sectional couch, a DVD player, a big screen tv, a cd/cassette boom box, two swords and several decorative wall pictures, according to a report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department. These items were allegedly taken during a burglary from a residence in Duff between Nov. 18 and 25, according to the report. Powers, 32, 4682 North Hwy 22W, Duff is charged with theft of property over $1,000, burglary, theft of property under $500. He is scheduled to be in court on Jan. 22.
