For an evening of fun and to support a good cause, the community is encouraged to attend the event held at the Campbell County High School football field.

With the planning and preparation phase concluded the event promises several musical and drama performances. Food will also be abundance along with a variety of games and activities.

Two bounce houses will be available as well as many other children’s activities.

Relay will be hosting several of its yearly competitions including the best team banner competition.

The event will start with the survivor lap. Cancer survivor adorned with their purple shirts will walk the track at the football field and be recognized for their courage and triumphs.

Following the survivor lap is the Relay team lap, in which all 23 teams will show their support for Relay and the American Cancer Society.

Around 9 p.m., after people have danced and ate and shared their stories, luminaries will light up the track. The candles will burn in recognition of someone with cancer or in memory of someone who died from cancer.
