A LaFollette man gave new meaning to the phrase “get a room” last Monday night.
LaFollette Police Officer Justin Lowe was dispatched to South Tennessee Avenue on a report of a man sleeping a car that was not his.
When he arrived Lowe discovered that the man had left the scene.
After obtaining a physical description the officer was able to locate Edward J. Robinson, 24, of 209 Cherry Street walking on Claiborne Road.
Lowe reported that upon contact with Robinson the man was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and was confused concerning his whereabouts.
Robinson was determined to be a danger to himself and others and was placed under arrested.
He was arrested and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing.
Later he was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.
