Santa Claus to visit LaFollette Public LIbrary

-A A +A

Santa Claus will visit children at the LaFollette Public Library on Dec. 19 at 1 p.m.
“It’s going to be great,” library director Nancy Green said. “Just encourage everyone to come out and visit with Santa.”
Santa will come to the children’s section of the library with Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty and Mickey Mouse. He will greet the children who come to meet him and take gift requests.
“We’re hoping we’ll be able to get him to read a story,” Green said.
Santa will probably read the children some Christmas stories, Green said.
There will be Christmas cookies and punch. Children can also have their pictures made with Santa for free.
This is the first event at the new library since ventriloquist Gene Cordova came in August.
“Haven’t had Santa in quite a while,” Green said. “I used to have Santa every year.”
Santa previously visited the LaFollette Public Library at its former location before it became too crowded. Now that it has been relocated in a bigger building, Green is hoping to revive the tradition.
