Smith charged with violation of parole

Earlier this week, Jacksboro Police Officer Joe Marlow was using radar when he noticed a Black Sabb speeding in a school zone.

Marlow allegedly clocked the car at 49 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone, records indicated.

Upon stopping the vehicle, Marlow found the driver, Joseph Scott Smith, 47, 295 Myers Street, Jacksboro, didn’t have tags or insurance on the vehicle, according to the report.

Smith allegedly appeared very nervous, had dilated pupils, and slurred speech, according to JPD records.
