God is great, Satan is a liar
As the enemy of our soul’s reaks havoc on people lives, as often as he can, it makes me want to write about the hope we have. You see, Satan, the Devil, Lucifer, is the chief opponent of God. He is a liar and deceiver.
Never think you cannot fall into his traps. He never gets tired he is always busy. Now if you are so steeped in sin and all the devil has to offer you, he won’t bother you too much, because you have chosen to fall into and remain in his bottomless pit. He’s certainly not going to help you get free. First, he is subtle, you hardly notice what is happening. He was subtle to Eve in Genesis 3:1-6, he convinced her of the lie that she would be as a god. Paul warned the Corinthian Church in II Corinthian 11:3 to not be beguiled as Eve was (concerning the devil’s lies).
We know the devil’s power can be fierce, (the demoniac in Luke 8:29). He is deceitful, II Corinthian 11:14. He is powerful, he is the prince and power of the air. He controls activities of evil men, Ephesians 2:2.
Luke 22:3 tells that Satan entered into Judas Iscariot (when he betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver). Satan could not have this unless Judas was submissive. There are many more scriptures to tell you about Satan. There is one we should never forget it we choose to follow him. You see it you don’t choose life you have automatically chosen death. There is no in-between. Matthew 26:41 tells of the judgment, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Sound scary and harsh? I don’t have the ability to put the reality of hell of paper. But I can tell or warn, it is real.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to tell you, you don’t have to go there.
John 3:16- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world: but the world through him might be saved.”
The words “everlasting life” is something worth thinking about. This means it is eternal. Everlasting life with Christ is worth striving for.
Jesus told the multitude that was following Him after they had seen the miracles to seek after things that would not perish. To seek that which would endureth unto everlasting life, John 6:27.
There is such peace, love, and joy in serving Christ. He will walk with us, talk with us. If you never hear an audible voice, you can feel His love and guidance in your life. I love to share how real Christ can be in your life. The secret lies in whether you ask Him into your life.
Paul wrote these sobering words in Hebrews 9:27, “And as it appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” We have an inescapable appointment someday. Dakes wrote; “there will be no more probation.”
As I write my thoughts, I would be in great error if I didn’t tell you God is great; Satan is a liar.
