Campbell County Middle School Baseball

The Campbell County Middle School baseball team will take on Claiborne County tonight, March 14, at Campbell County High School. On Friday, March 15, the Cougars will also host Oneida. On Thursday, the junior varsity team will play at 5:30 p.m., before the varsity at 7 p.m. Friday, the varsity will begin at 5:30 p.m., before the junior varsity at 7 p.m.

Campbell County Track and Field

The Campbell County track and field team will travel to Anderson County High School tonight, March 14. Action is slated to begin at 5 p.m.

Jellico High School Baseball

The Jellico High School baseball team will travel to Austin East tonight, March 14. Action is slated to begin at 5 p.m. On Monday, March 18, Jellico will take on Kings Academy at home for a District 4-A matchup, before traveling to Scott County on Tuesday. Both games are to begin at 5 p.m.

Jellico Middle School Baseball

The Jellico Middle School baseball team will take on Oneida tonight, March 14, at 5 p.m. at home. On Monday, March 18, the Blue Devils will face off with Kings Academy at 4 p.m., before hosting Whitley County at 5 p.m.

Jellico High School Softball

The Jellico High School softball team will take on Campbell County High School on Saturday, March 16 at home. Games are slated to begin at noon, with both the junior varsity and varsity squads being in action. On Tuesday, March 19, the Lady Blue Devils will travel to Scott County High School, as they will take on the Lady Highlanders. Both squads, again, are expected to play, with games beginning at 5 p.m.

Campbell County Baseball

The Campbell County High School baseball team will face another back-to-back District 3-AAA contest on Monday and Tuesday. The Cougars will travel to Anderson County on Monday, March 18, before facing Anderson County at home on Tuesday March 19. Varsity teams are slated to begin at 5 p.m., while the junior varsity squads will play at 7 p.m.

Middle School Track

The Jacksboro Eagles and the LaFollette Owls track teams will travel to Lenoir City on Tuesday, March 19. The meet will begin at 4:30, as Jefferson, Norris, Cherokee, Robertsville, Sacred Heart and Fort Loudon will also participate.

Spring Turkey Season

The Spring Turkey Season is set for March 30 through May 12. Only one bearded turkey per day, with a season limit of four per person. Shooting hours are thirty minutes before legal sunrise until sunset.

Young Sportsman Turkey Hunt

The juvenile hunt for the 2013 spring turkey season is set for March 23-24. This is for ages six through 16. One bearded turkey counts toward the statewide bag of four. Each youth must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device.

Great Smoky Mountains Trout Adventure Camp

The third annual Great Smoky Mountains Trout Adventure Camp for middle school girls and boys will be held June 17 through June 22. The camp will be at Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. It is designed to give kids an appreciation and understanding of the importance of our aquatic resources with an emphasis on conservation, protection and restoration of coldwater ecosystems. They experience fly tying, fly fishing and snorkeling in the Little River, along with some hiking and swimming. Boys and girls ages 12 to 15 old are eligible to apply, and 14 participants will be accepted. Tuition is $472. For more information, see www.tntroutadventure.org.
