SPORTS NOTES — June 9

Swingin’ for Talan, a baseball tournament for youth league teams, will be held June 10-11 at Asbury Park in Caryville. The tournament is a fundraiser for Talan Hooks, a young boy suffering from Leukoencephalopathy. Any donation will help to make this tournament a success. For more information, call Russell Mills at 423-494-3552. The tournament will be a double-elimination format and will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10. There is no entry fee for teams, however players and coaches will be charged $1 each at the gate.  Age divisions are 5-6, 7-8, and 11-12.
