Soccer tryouts for middle school girls will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at the LaFollette Fields. There will be makeup dates for players that will be out of town on that day. For more information, call 423-494-6569.

Jacksboro Middle School will host the annual Eagle Football Camp the week of July 18-21. Camp hours will be 6-9 p.m. Camp staff will stress blocking and tackling, as well as work at all the individual positions. The registration fee is $50. Campers should register at 5:30 p.m. on July 18 at JMS.

Campbell County High School will host a football camp July 11-13 for ages 6-15. Camp hours will be 6-8 pm. The registration fee is $50 for each camper or $40 if two or more campers are from same family. 

Campbell County High School will host a basketball camp July 11-14 for girls and boys entering grades 1-8. Camp hours will be 9 a.m.-noon daily. Registration fee is $50 per participant. Instructors will be CCHS coaches Matt Housley and Ryan Browning, with assistance from current high school players. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Registration forms are available at the front desk of the LaFollette Press.

The Pine Mountain Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host its inaugural Jakes Day for kids ages 17 and under on July 30 at the Ball Farm Event Center in LaFollette. Kids will be able to experience a day packed with fun outdoor activities that include fishing, archery, shooting sports, inflatables, a climbing wall and more. Pre registration is required, as Jakes Day will be limited to the first 100 kids who register. Registration deadline is July 8. The Tri-City Football Mini Camp will be held July 11-22 at Linden Park in LaFollette. Camp hours will be 6-8 p.m. The camp is free to anyone ages 5-12. This will also be a chance to sign up for cheerleading and football for the fall. For more information, call 423-566-1400.

The Campbell County High School Football Boosters Club has scheduled a fundraising golf tournament on July 20 at 1 p.m at The Greens at Deerfield. The registration fee is $320 per team. There will be a cash payout for the winning team. 

Lincoln Memorial University will host the inaugural Railsplitter 3-on-3 Open tournament on Saturday, Aug. 13. Teams are guaranteed multiple games in a double-elimination championship format. Games will be played in both Tex Turner Arena and Mary Mars Gym beginning at 10 a.m. Teams will have maximum of four players. The registration fee will be $60 per team. The Campbell County Children's Center 11th annual Co-Ed Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 26-27 at Asbury Park in Caryville. The tournament will begin on Friday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $150 per team.
