State trooper injured, Illinois man indicted

A Campbell County grand jury has indicted Stewart G. Snedeker, 60, 18496 N. 1600 St., Chrisman, Ill., for his actions in an accident that left Tennessee State Trooper Joe Lindsay injured.
Lindsay was parked on the side of Interstate 75 at the scene of a vehicle fire in June. Snedeker’s vehicle struck Lindsay’s patrol car, causing Lindsay to suffer fractured vertebrae, a fractured rib and arm injuries.
Snedeker left the scene, but he was detained at Exit 141.
He was indicted for reckless aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the move-over law, driving while ill or fatigued, failure to report an accident, failure to exercise due care and  having  an unauthorized passenger in a motor carrier.
