Television studio sets up in shop in Jellico

The basement of the Jellico Civic Center will be the site of the new Channel 2 studios.

“We’ve been pursuing this since April of 2011, and they moved in, starting setting up Friday, which would have been Dec. 7,” said Jellico Mayor Les Stiers.

The channel is owned and operated by brothers Doc Hall and Steve Hall. They’ve been in business in Scott County for 20 years. They also have a channel in Whitley County, Ky.
