Two related individuals shared more in common than DNA last week.

Curtis Lee Green, 22, of 156 Abilene Circle, Caryville, was arrested on May 15 for public intoxication and auto theft, according to a Jacksboro Police Department (JPD) report.  Jacksboro Police Officer James Skeans was dispatched to 151 Pack Street in reference to someone breaking into a vehicle, according to the report.  Upon arrival, Skeans found Green in the passenger seat of a 1979 Chevy Caprice and placed him into custody.  When asked why he was asleep in the vehicle, Green stated in slurred speech he did not know why, according to the JPD report.  Skeans then asked Green if he had taken any medication and he replied he had taken 10 to 12 Xanax, the police report said.  Green was arrested and later released; he has a court date set for June 2.

Randall A. Green, 21, of the same address, was arrested the next day on May 16 on shoplifting and drug charges.

Jacksboro Police Sergeant Jeremy Goins was dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a possible theft.  Loss prevention agents allegedly witnessed Randall Green select and conceal Wal-Mart merchandise before exiting the store without paying, according to the police report.  Goins searched Green and found $211 worth of merchandise, along with two cigarette wrappers containing various pills.  Green was also in possession of a razor blade, according to the police report.

Randal Green was charged with possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule II controlled substance, two counts of possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft under $500, according to the JPD report.  Randall was also arrested and has been released; he has court May 29.
