The joint efforts of law enforcement agencies resulted in three arrests last Wednesday.
In May LaFollette Police Det. Sgt. Jason Henegar along with Campbell County Sheriff’s Det. Brandon Elkins and Caryville Police Det. Stephanie Smith began an investigation into a burglary at a Caryville home.
According to Henegar, he became involved in the case when he received information about the May 27 burglary from an informant.
At the time of the crime the residence on Woods Circle in Caryville was entered by force through a window.
Homeowners reported a myriad of missing items including $170 in cash and more than $3,000 in video games and other electronic equipment.
Following weeks of investigation Henegar said he and Elkins had compiled enough evidence to arrest three suspects in the case last Wednesday.
Joshua R. Davis, 21, of 292 College Park Road, and Melinda Ward, 25, of 200 Stone Henge, Apartment F2 were arrested by LaFollette Police officers at Davis’ home.
Later the same day Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Ward arrested a third defendant, Jason Ward, 31, of 312 Clear Lake Drive.
The trio is charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property and vandalism over $500. All are set to appear in court later this month.
