A city-wide sting to catch businesses breaking the law resulted in three misdemeanor citations last week.
“I was contacted by the ABC (Alcohol Beverage Commission) and they set up a date to come up,” said LaFollette Police Chief Jimmy Jeffries.
On Jan. 16, the Alcoholic Beverage Commission visited all businesses in LaFollette with a beer permit to make sure IDs were being checked.
At Ninja Habachi, the ABC agent and an underage female ordered a beer. While the minor’s ID was checked, the restaurant still allegedly gave her a 12 ounce Bud Light.
