On Saturday afternoon LaFollette Police Officer Tony Rucker was flagged down by an unidentified male warning of an alleged drug dealer operating at the downtown Shell station.

According to Rucker’s report the man reported that a 1996 Ford 150 driven by Donald Howard Campbell, 61, of 498 Campbell Ridge Road, was parked at the gas station where Campbell was selling drugs to juveniles.

When Rucker confronted Campbell, the man allegedly reported that he only sold drugs to adults, not juveniles.

Campbell was asked if he had anything illegal inside the truck to which he responded no.

While searching Campbell for weapons Rucker found a pill bottle containing 44 yellow pills and 20 white pills in Campbell’s right front pocket. A pill bottle containing a variety of pills was also located under the driver’s seat of the truck.

Campbell was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II, III and IV controlled substances as well as driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21.
