An anonymous tip led to drug charges for a local couple this past weekend.
On Sunday Officers Joe Brown, Daniel Terry, and Steven Wallen, received a tip of illegal drug activity at Sharp’s Motel in LaFollette.
Upon arrival at the motel officers were given permission to search the room by Tommy Sue Kitts Chapman, 32, of 413 Davenport Road.

A second defendant, Terry Lee Shoupes, 32, of 228 Midway Circle, Jacksboro, was also found in the bathroom.
A search of Shoupes person revealed a brown container with two pipes and a small bag of powder Shoupes allegedly identified as meth.
Shoupes was also found to have outstanding warrants for burglary and theft over $1,000 as well as a violation of probation.
Chapman was charged with promotion to manufacture methamphetamine, felony drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule II with intent to resale, possession of a prohibited weapon.
