A speeding violation has led to the arrest of four individuals on promotion of meth charges, leaving one man still at large.

Edward Walden, 31, of LaFollette, Cynthia Drummonds, 40, of LaFollette, James Michael Cornett, 48, of Caryville and Tammy L. Young- Nash, 29, of Caryville were all arrested on charges of promotion intended to manufacture methamphetamine.  Walden had a parole violation as well.

On Feb. 3, at 9:45 p.m., Caryville Detective Stephanie Smith observed a blue Ford Explorer traveling northbound on Park Road at a high rate of speed, according to a Caryville police report.  Smith attempted to stop the vehicle as it turned into Abilene Circle, but the vehicle did not immediately stop, according to Smith.

Smith said she observed a male subject pull the vehicle into a parking space at 156 Abilene Circle. As he exited the vehicle, Smith said she observed the male subject throw a plastic bag.

Smith then began a foot pursuit, but was unable to locate the violator, according to the police report.

Smith then went back to the stopped vehicle where a county unit was standing by with the other violators in the vehicle.  Smith retrieved the plastic bag, noting it allegedly contained several unopened boxes of Sudafed, cold packs and receipts from Walgreens where the Sudafed was purchased.

Kelli French with the Department of Child Services assisted Smith by watching the remaining violators while Smith was in a foot pursuit. French was reportedly on the scene because of a case the Caryville Police Department and the Tennessee Department of Child Services is currently investigating, according to the police report.

Smith asked violators remaining who the male subject was that ran from the vehicle.  All violators stated that it was Daniel L. Bolton, according to the police report.

A warrant was issued for Bolton and he is wanted for promotion intended to manufacture methamphetamine, felony evading arrest and littering.  Bolton is still at large, according to the police report.   He is around 6-foot, of medium build with sandy blond hair and possible facial hair, according to Smith.  Anyone with information regarding Bolton is asked to contact the Caryville Police Department at 562-9478.
