There’s a new pizza man in town.
Campbell County native David Bolton has purchased Valley Pizza.
Though the business transaction was completed in November, Bolton has spent the past few months renovating the restaurant and preparing for the grand opening, which was held yesterday.
“It’s something I’ve always thought about, so when the opportunity arose to purchase the business I jumped on it,” said Bolton, who also owns Dave’s Paint and Service Center.
“The paint business had been slow and I’m pretty good with the public-I’ve always worked across the counter, so I thought I would branch out and give it a try,” Bolton said.
Bolton said he has put an enormous amount of effort into cleaning and sprucing the place up.
“We revamped it by stripping the floors and waxing them, as well as touching up the existing paint,” he said.
Bolton said he hopes to expand the business as soon as possible.
“I would like to maybe open another restaurant within a year if this one goes well,” said Bolton.
While he kept the name Valley Pizza, Bolton has added a few touches of his own to the menu.
New items such as a steak and potato combo and a soup and salad bar have been added to the establishment.
“I wanted to put something in for the customers that other places didn’t have,” stated Bolton.
“I just want to make it as nice as I can for the public and give them some more options when dining out,” he said.
