CAMPBELL COUNTY—The LaFollette Press is working in conjunction with the Campbell Culture Coalition to present a “Walk through History” dedicated to veterans who served in the Civil War to modern-era conflicts. The Press seeks service-time stories and photos from area veterans and their families. The paper will publish a tribute to those who served in its Veteran’s Day issue, Nov. 7, prior to the Veteran’s Day observance on Nov. 11.
Next May, the Culture Coalition will use images and information to present its “Walk through History.” Part of it will be a historical memorial wall utilizing photos and stories from Campbell County veterans from the Civil War through the Korean Conflict — which covers the late-19th and mid-20th centuries.
Further information on this event will be publicized in The Press at a later time.
Please bring any information — along with relevant names, service times and military branches — to the LaFollette Press at 225 N. 1st Street, LaFollette. For more information, contact Karen Cumorich at email@example.com, or call 562-8468 ext 224.
