John and Peanut Bowlin of Jellico announce the marriage of their daughter, Ashley Bowlin to Jordan Davis of Duff. The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Bobby and Patricia Bowlin of Jellico and Cora Smith of LaFollette and the late Curtis Smith of Capashene. The groom to be is the son of Kelly and Vickie Davis of Duff. The grandson of Mary Lou Hose and the late Warren Hose of Pilot Mountain, NC and the late Vaitor and Frankie Davis of Clairfield. The wedding is planned for Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Branam Hill Church of God. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Carmany celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 19. They celebrated with a family dinner at Mt. McCloud Restaurant. Present at the dinner was their daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Scott Bowman, as well as their grandchildren and their spouses, Durand and Katy Carmany, Daniel and Chrissy Forrester, and Stevie and Amanda Byrge. Great grandchildren that were also present were Titus Forrester, Myranda, Holly, and Hunter Carmany, and Haley and Molly Byrge.
Penny Burnette, mother of Donna Jean Kispert and special aunt Mildred Schnell of Kingsville announce the wedding of their daughter and niece to Jerry Martin Scudder of LaFollette. The bride elect is the daughter of the late Donald Kispert and the niece of the late William Schnell. The groom to be is the son of Bonnie Farris of LaFollette and Jerry M. Scudder Sr. of Indiana. A November wedding is planned. No invitations are being sent, friends and family are invited to attend.
Carl and JoAnn Mace Packett, longtime residents of Dayton, OH were married on October 23, 1954. They have four children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is a 1952 graduate of Jacksboro High School. The couple will celebrate their anniversary at a family reunion at the Ridgeview Baptist Church with Carl’s sisters and their families in attendance.
Brandy Danielle Perkins and Michael Wayne Lowe were united in marriage on Oct. 9 at their home in Oliver Springs. The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Terry Perkins of LaFollette. The groom is the son of Cheryl Alley of Clinton and Benny Lowe of Petros. Both are volunteer firefighters for the Petros Fire Department.
Happy Anniversary to Arlie “Dock” and Veltina Phillips who celebrated their 63rd anniversary on Oct. 2. They have eight children, 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The couple resides in Stoney Fork.
