Woman arrested after altercation at nursing home

A confrontation at Beach Tree Manor in Jellico has led to a woman’s arrest for simple assault.

On Dec. 10, Jellico Police Department Assistant Chief Ronnie Lewis drafted a warrant for the arrest of Thelma Alsip due to allegations made by the victim of the reported altercation.

According to the warrant, the victim advised she was at Beech Tree Manor to see a family friend when Alsip began to yell at her.
