A LaFollette woman exemplified poor judgment when she allegedly left her toddler in the car while she went on a shoplifting spree.
Last Friday LaFollette Police Officer Corey Taylor was called to the Dollar General Store located on Myers Lane to investigate a theft.
At the store Taylor learned from witnesses that a woman, determined to be Bobbie Jo Randolph, 29, of 179 Watson Road, had left a three –year- old child alone in a vehicle for more than 30 minutes while she was inside the store.
In addition to leaving the child unsupervised it was also determined that Randolph had stolen more than $100 in merchandise from the business, records indicate.
Radolph was arrested and charged with theft under $500 and child abuse. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 15.
