UP THE VALLEY—Deputy Christopher Chapman, of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department, arrested a woman for public intoxication and possession of narcotics at Big O’s on July 13.
Chapman was dispatched there after customer Jennifer Marie Smith, 26, 521 Hayes Lane, LaFollette allegedly got into her Jeep intoxicated.
When Chapman arrived, he found Smith slumped over the steering wheel, according to Sheriff’s reports.
Smith allegedly failed the sobriety tests Chapman asked her to perform.
Chapman arrested her and asked her if she had any narcotics. Smith gave him a pill bottle that allegedly contained 53 round, white pills, reports indicated.
Chapman transported Smith to the Campbell County Jail. She was charged with public intoxication, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
