A two-vehicle crash which occurred last Friday left one man injured and another man cited for lack of registration or insurance.
A 2002 Dodge 1500 pickup driven by R.L Heatherly, 64, of LaFollette pulled from Bethlehem Road into the path of an eastbound vehicle on Old Highway 63, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) report. Heatherly will be cited for failure to yield, according to THP Director of Public Affairs Mike Browning. Heatherly was injured but the injuries were not life-threatening as the air bag did deploy, according to Browning. Heatherly was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in LaFollette.
Heatherly pulled into the path of a 1978 Chevy pickup driven by Barry Ridenour, 38, of Speedwell. Ridenour was not injured in the crash.
He was cited for no registration and no proof of insurance, according to the THP report.
