Y-12 Federal Credit Union held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for its new LaFollette branch. It will be the credit union’s second location in Campbell County and will be located at Central Avenue at Massachusetts Avenue.

This new facility will be Y-12 FCU’s fourth branch to adopt the concept of dialog banking, according to Traci Harrison, marketing team leader. Instead of the traditional teller line found in most financial institutions, the new branch will include teller towers.

“These will allow easier interaction between the member service representative and the member,” Harrison said.

The layout of the branch will feature a concierge style where members are greeted and guided to the appropriate service area, according to Harrison.

There will also be access to online banking through y12fcu.org in the Internet Café and credit union employees will be on hand to serve all the financial needs of members. There will also be a coffee bar serving free coffee and cappuccino.

The new branch will also offer traditional services such as, safe deposit boxes, a drive-up ATM and multiple drive-thru lanes as well.

“We are very excited about the level of growth we have experienced these last few years in the LaFollette area,” said Tom Hilton, Y-12 FCU President and CEO.

“We are looking forward to better serving our members in Campbell County by adding this additional branch,” Hilton said.
