    American Legion Post 280 is looking for all veterans that want to have a home post and are willing to help DAVs, veteran dependents, toy runs, special functions, and benefits. Contact the post commander or service officer at (865) 426-4700. All nominations for 2012 officers at Post 280 American Legion must be in no later than May. The election will be held in June.
    The Norris Lake Flotilla will be offering free vessel safety checks at Deerfield Marina on June 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    Stinking Creek Baptist Church will be having a singing on June 2 at 7 p.m. to benefit June Campbell. Singers will include Gospel Harmony, Bill and Debbie Wilson, and others.
    Beginning on June 3 Chaska Church of God will hold a revival. 6 p.m. on Sundays and 7 p.m. weeknights. Different speakers will be featured every night.
    Campbell County Preacher’s fellowship service for the month of June will be hosted by The Bear Wallow Baptist Church in Caryville on June 4 at 7 p.m.
