    Richard Edward Kitts
    Richard Edward Kitts, of LaFollette, was born February 6, 1934, in Campbell County Tennessee and passed away June 29. He was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church, a graduate of Berea College with a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee, an Army veteran serving with the Military Intelligence in Germany, and an educator, retiring from the Oak Ridge City Schools. He and his wife were world travelers and loved by many friends and relatives. He will be sadly missed.

    Bonnie Loetta Miller Henegar
    Bonnie Loetta Miller Henegar, 79 of LaFollette, passed away June 27 at the home of her daughter. She was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church, and a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
    Preceded in death by Husband Floyd (Pete) Henegar; parents, Amos and Mary Sue Parker Miller; brothers, Glenn, Garrett and Larry Miller.

    Joyce Ann Jessie Bratcher
    Joyce Ann Jessie Bratcher, 67 passed away June 25 at home. Joyce was the beloved wife of David Bratcher for 22 years. She was the mother of four daughters and two sons as well as a devoted grandmother of 15 grandkids and 17 great-grandkids. Joyce loved the outdoors, spending time with her family, and dancing barefoot whenever a good tune was on.
    Preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Edna Godfrey Jessie; brothers, Oray Jessie, Dallas “DR” Jessie; sisters, Wavalee Hix and Gladys Owens.

Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Dorothy Foster; brothers, Arnold Lee Foster, Joe Hatfield; sister, Sadie; sister-in-law, Janice Clifft and husband, Grover Clifft, III; brother-in-law, Ernest Philips.

    Christopher D. Kirby, 43, of Triumph died June 23.
    He was preceded in death by his father.
    Christopher is survived by his mother, Arlie Kirby of Eagan; wife, Krissy of Triumph; daughters, Amanda Kirby of Marseilles, Molly Kirby of Compton and Sarah Kirby of Rochelle
    Funeral services were held June 28 in the Merritt Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Kaiser officiating. Interment was in the Precint Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

    Ellen Parks, 98 of Laurel Grove died June 28.
    Preceded in death by parents, Harvey M. and Sally Belle Duncan Harness; husband, Hobert Parks; sons, Mike Parks and G.P. Parks.
    Ellen is survived by daughters, Adele Harness of Lake City, Janie Harness of Laurel Grove and Edna Parks.
    Funeral services were held July 1 at the Laurel Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David White and Brother Audrey Goins officiating. Interment was in the Laurel Grove Cemetery with Brother Roger Phillips officiating.
    Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Shannon Delane Brock Baird, 43 of Jellico died June 18.

    Preceded in death by son, Mark Kelley.

    Shannon is survived by father, Jim Brock of Corbin, Ky; mother, Deloris Brock of London, Ky; husband, Jim Frank Baird Jr. of Jellico; daughters, Nicole Cox of Dalton, Ga, Deloris Reynolds Kelley of Gatliff, Ky.

    Funeral services were held June 21 in the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery.

    Gladys Mildred (Shoffner) Mowell

    Gladys Mildred (Shoffner) Mowell, 91 of LaFollette passed away June 27. 

    Gladys is survived by nieces and nephews, Valerie Willis, Glenda Goodell, Clyde and Johnny Shoffner, Judy Shoffner Hill, Gary Shoffner and Jay Shoffner.

    Graveside services and interment were held June 28 in the Chadwell Cemetery.

    Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
