    Presley N. Lawson

    Presley N. Lawson, 73 of Warren, Mi, formerly of the Grantsboro Community in LaFollette died March 14.

    Preceded in death by parents, Sampson and Katie Robinson Lawson.

    Presley is survived by wife, Dorothy Lawson; children, Mark Lawson, Tammy Low and Scott Lawson, all of Michigan. 

    Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. on March 18 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 10 a.m. on March 19 in the Murrayville Cemetery.

    Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Robert E. “Bob” Lynch

    Robert E. “Bob” Lynch, 82, of LaFollette, passed away March 15 at St. Mary’s Campbell Co. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

    Preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Maggie Lynch; brother, Ulis ; sister, Lucille Zanonia. Robert is survived by Asalee Roberts; daughter, Pat Lough and husband, Roy; very special grandchildren, Chris and wife, Christy Cooper, Michelle and husband, Scott Martin; sisters, Della Day, Lillie Smith and Wanda and husband, Orie McNeeley.

    Shirley F. Partin

    Shirley F. Partin, 72 of Oregon, Oh died March 5.  

    Preceded in death by father, Wilbert Randolph; sons, James R. and Jeffery S. Partin.

    Shirley is survived by mother, Laura Smith; husband, Bobby G. Partin; daughter, Laura J. Dunaway.  

    Funeral services were held March 9 in the chapel of Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Cox officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Cemetery.

    Wanda Delk Womble

    Wanda Delk Womble, 68 of Little White Oak, passed away March 13 at her home.  She was born December 8, 1942 in LaFollette.

    Preceded in death by father, Marson Greene Delk, Sr.; mother, May Palmer Delk; brother, Marson Delk Jr.

    Wanda is survived by sons, Darrell Delk and wife, Vicky of LaFollette, William Howard Lemarr and wife, Rhonda, John Womble, Robert Womble, all of White Oak; brother, Clyde Delk of White Oak; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a host of friends and family to mourn her passing.

    William L. Gray, 65, of Middlesboro, Ky, passed away March 9 at St. Mary’s Campbell County.  Born to the late Lawrence B. and Dolly Ely Gray on October 24, 1945 and raised in Middlesboro, Ky. all his life.   Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Milford Gray, Ray Gray, Ruth Gilbert, Nadine Glaze, Jewell Wilford, Juanita Warf.

    Linda Marlow, 58, of Jacksboro passed away March 8 at her home in Jacksboro.  She was employed at Walgreens of LaFollette for nine years. 

    Preceded in death by mother and father, Josie and Arnold Marlow; brother, Clinton Marlow; nephew, Christopher Lowery.

    Joyce Ann (Jody) Douglas

    Joyce Ann (Jody) Douglas, 66, of LaFollette passed away March 10 at UT Medical Center.  She was a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church. 

    Preceded in death by father, Rev. H.R. Douglas; sisters, Mary Ruth Summers and Lora June England.

    Joyce is survived by mother, Cora Moyers Douglas; brother, Rev. H.R. Douglas of Jacksboro; sisters, Georgia Payne of Atlanta, Ga, Bernice McKay of Monroe, Ga, Carolyn Copeland of Titisville, Ga and Priscilla Thorton of Commerce, Ga; a host of nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.

    Edna Nadine Perkins

    Edna Nadine Perkins, 88 of Jellico died March 7.

    Preceded in death by husband, John W. Perkins.

    Edna is survived by daughter, Peggy Edmonston of Lagrance, KY.

    Funeral services were held March 10 in the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Landes and Rev. Joel Crawford officiating. Interment was in the Jellico Cemetery.

  • Loretta (Madge) Stooksbury

    Loretta (Madge) Stooksbury

    Loretta (Madge) Stooksbury, 86, of LaFollette, passed away peacefully March 12 at Mercy Hospital North in Knoxville.   Loretta grew up in the Cedar Creek area of Campbell County and lived in Jacksboro from 1963 until the fall of 2008 when she moved to LaFollette Court Assisted Living Center. 

    Preceded in death by parents, James Avery Roach and Martha (Doolie) Gray Roach; sister Mary Hopper; beloved son, Edward L. Stooksbury and her former husband and life-long friend, Earl Stooksbury.

    Harold Raymond Parker, 96 died March 9.  

    Preceded in death by wife, Edna (Teddy) Parker; son, Glenn Harold Parker of Florida, parents, Claude and Maggie Parker.

    Harold is survived by daughter, Lynn Parker McCullah of Speedwell.

    Services will be at a later date.
