    Alma Marie Sharp Baird

    Alma Marie Sharp Baird passed away Feb. 26 at Mercy Medical Center in Knoxville.  She was born November 18, 1913 to Harrison and Rachel Rose Heatherly Sharp.  Alma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

    Preceded in death by brothers, Verlin, Lloyd, Luther, Emmitt, Bill and Earnest; sister, Emma Halstead.

    Dorothy O. Wilson

    Dorothy O. Wilson, 94 of Jacksboro went home to be with our Lord Feb. 28 at her home. She enjoyed being outside and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy also enjoyed taking drives in the mountains with her son and enjoying the flowers. She loved her family very much, and cherished her time with them.

    Preceded in death by husband, James Luther Wilson; father, George Bowling and mother, Adeline Johnson; three brothers and three sisters.

    Elmer “Dump” Fifer

    Elmer “Dump” Fifer, 65 of Briceville died Feb. 27at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

    Preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Winnie Gray Fifer.

    Elmer is survived by son, Jerry Francis of Ohio.

    Elmer’s request was that he would be cremated.

    Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Lawton Collins, 78 of St. Petersburg, Fla passed away Feb. 22 at his home.  He was born January 17, 1933 in Pioneer.

    Preceded in death by father, Leonard Collins; mother, Stella Baker Collins.

    Mary Lou Jordan Schrom

    Mary Lou Jordan Schrom, 85, of Royal Oak, Mi passed away Feb. 27. She was born January 24, 1926 in Jacksboro to Emmitt and Rose Jordan. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf, and her family.

    Preceded in death by daughter, Jackie Dickey.

    Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Harry; son, Michael (Beti) Schrom; daughter, Karan (Kevin) Stinson; son in law, Tom Dickey; grandchildren, Kevin, Kortney, Seth, Alexendro, Sasha, Michael, and Ben; sister, Nora Jane Jordan, and many nieces and nephews.

    J.P. Hatfield

    J.P. Hatfield, 75 of Jacksboro died Feb. 24.

    Preceeded in death by wife: Barbara Jean Caddell Hatfield; daughter, Vickie Lynn Hatfield; parents, Melvin and Sadie Lewallen Hatfield.

    J.P. is survived by daughter, Linda Halcomb of Jacksboro.

    Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at Charity Worship Center with Rev. Harry James and Rev. Leon Fritz officiating. Interment was in the Glade Springs Cemetery.

    Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of these arrangements.

    Billy Curtis Reynolds, 67, of the Beech Grove Community in Lake City died Feb. 26.

    Preceded in death by parents, Buster and Nellie Mae Isabell Reynolds. 

    Billy is survived by wife, Magdalene (Maggie) Reynolds of Lake City; son, Mark Reynolds.

    Funeral services were held Feb. 28 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Poore, Rev. Kenny Sharp, and Rev. Hubert Marlow officiating. Interment will be at noon on March 1 in the Beech Grove Cemetery.

    Preceded in death by husband, Millard McCullah; daughter, Lorene Courtright; parents, Monroe and Anniebelle Wright Myers.

    Evelyn is survived daughters, Irene Hopkins of DeKalb, IL and Dean Nuchols of LaFollette.
